Studying meteorology

Study of meteorology on the bachelor and master levels is part of the general Physics study program. The basic objective is to train experts who will be able to solve problems both from the basic fields of atmospheric physics, weather, climate systems and changes, as well as from the applicative fields and interdisciplinary research, particularly related to air quality and effects of weather on humans, animals and plants. First-level graduates will be able to independently solve problems and tasks in certain fields of meteorology and geophysics. The second stage builds upon the knowledge and skills of the first stage, so a second-level graduate is also capable of challenging work in numerical modeling of events in the atmosphere, or, for example in the weather analysis and forecasting.
